Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef personality. Burrell was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a bubbly personality, reveals simple to learn techniques and eliminates the fear of eating at restaurants in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell studied and worked in the best New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. As a youngster, living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute of being a student of The Culinary Institute of America she says. Culinary Institute of America was an excellent place to study. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year learning at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. In Italy the chef gained an appreciation and knowledge of Italian food. It had a significant influence on her perception of food. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of children who are struggling. Additionally, she is a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate where she raises awareness about juvenile diabetics. She speaks about her cooking passion, and also shares her knowledge of the culinary world, as she regularly travels throughout the US in various roles such as speaker and mentor. Anne often has mentioned throughout her professional career she is incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to communicate with people what is truly important to her.
