Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started in the form of a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and a gold medal in the year 2011, as well as the 2015 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012 she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko broke her professional MMA records in 2002 when she fought Anara Bazanova during the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She was victorious with a TKO in the second round and then won her 2 subsequent fights, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on boxing. She made her return to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous vote before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the club in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina used her superior fighting techniques in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi by split decision following her first fight. Antonina bounced right back after the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The bout earned Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko went 1-2 over the next three fights, defeating Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
